Health facilities
New Riccione Community House
The new Community Health Center in Riccione is the result of an urban regeneration project that involves replacing the existing building with a new healthcare facility built on two above-ground levels, designed with functionality, efficiency, and sustainability in mind. The layout is planned to optimize internal routes, promote integration between different healthcare functions, and ensure maximum flexibility of the spaces, meeting the standards required by the new local healthcare model.
The intervention fits into the existing context by limiting land use and preserving the footprint of the original building, while respecting the landscape and environmental constraints of the area. The project enhances the green spaces by conserving valuable trees, revitalizing the tree heritage, and introducing new plantings, integrating architecture and landscape into a single design strategy.
Special attention has been given to the performance of the building envelope, the efficiency of the systems, and the adoption of solutions compliant with Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) and DNSH principles, aiming to create a high-performance building that ensures comfort, durability, and low maintenance costs over time. The project also integrates structural, plant, acoustic, and fire prevention aspects within a coordinated design process focused on the overall quality of the structure.
